Gotland 20.09.

Day one. Since me and my sister had already been there for a couple of days, I got up early to meet the arriving girls. The day was spent shopping and by the pool.

We went out for drinks and desserts and me and Amanda gorged ourselves in a white chocolate fountain with strawberries and marshmallows.
Me and Caroline. Amanda as a monster. Sara.

The day after was nice as the day before. The night was cozy as we played games, walked by the beach and watched movies.

The third day was Amanda's "birthday", that incidentally had been postponed about a week. We had a lot of surprises for her, and we began the morning with waking her up with a cake out of pancakes. Then we made the real brunch.
After a few hours by the pool and digesting that brunch, we had set up a surprise pentathlon. We divided into two teams, team Swine Flu and the Wizards of Tott (= the location we were at) team.

Team Swine Flu took a pretty hard beat by 5-0. Afterwards we went to the Beach Club were we played volleyball and had drinks.

Moa did (of course) drop all of her cards out of her wallet without noticing.

Sara abused the jetty.

After freshening up we went to a lovely Italian restaurant called Isola Bella. Then - more drinks.

We were all pretty exhausted the day after, but we managed to get out and enjoy Visby.

We had lunch at a café (Caroline looks like she is in a Coca Cola ad).

After some shopping and dinner we went down to the Beach Club where there was a "burn your underwear party" with Frank Dandy. Definitely not as bad as it sounds, though.
Our last full day was definitely one of the best days. We started the morning with a work out, running in the forrest and by the seaside, had brunch, went shopping, got Simon with us back to our place, and then me, Amanda and Moa went out for a little bicycle adventure up the mountains. It was so beautiful, and reminded me of Maui's Kaanapali Hills. Then we went for a swim in the pool, and then the evening began.
Simon did a photo shoot. This is an ad for the beer he is drinking. Self-made by us, of course.
Amanda, Caroline, Moa and me.
Jojo and me. Caroline. Dinner. Dangerous drinking game.
Jojo. Moa. Johanna.
Simon took some photos of us all together. The first one was probably the best one.

The last of the week night was definitely the best night out and about. The morning after, I even felt good. Until I ventured my life on a bicycle ride up to the store to by stuff for brunch. My blood sugar just said thank you and bye bye, I'll drop to your feet now. Ice cream was necessary. The rest of the day was spent by the pool, out running, packing and enjoying. The last picture is sort of ridiculous since me and Jojo look exactly alike.

I love Gotland, I love riding bikes, I love running in the forrest, I love summer, I love everything about it. See you soon!

Chocolate is my new best friend. I wonder if Paris Hilton has tried that one yet. One of the best things to do when the weather is behaving rudely is to enjoy the sunny moments with a big coffee, a comfy chair, cookies and chocolate and a good book. Check, check, check, check and check. The melting chocolate reminded me of Willy Wonka's chocolate river. And then that reminded me of the romantic movie Chocolat, and then that reminded me of Johnny Depp, and then that reminded me of Willy Wonka again, but the 2005 version of it, and that reminded me of Tim Burton, and that reminded me of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland which will premiere in 2010, and then it finally brought me back to the book I was reading. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Brilliant.

Gotland Pics

Amanda posted some of the pictures we took on Gotland on her Facebook yesterday. The pictures above are two of my favorites:
1. We pretended that wednesday was Amanda's birthday, so we woke her up with a pancake cake (since pancake's her favorite) and we spent the rest of the day celebrating her.
2. This is almost the whole gang. Caroline is the one behind the camera. I just think it's a great picture.

Bummer of the summer

I packed my bags and got off to Gotland a few days earlier to just relax and enjoy the sun. When me and my sister arrived to the island the first thing that my dear parents welcome me by is a whole list of things to do to prevent me getting infected by this latest overlapping terror of the human world - the swine flu. After a few days, the rest of the girls joined in at Gotland and the real vacation began. Mom and dad did however call me to a serious talk, which consisted of me not going to London, which was scheduled to departure yesterday morning. The swine flu had broken out, and since I'm diagnosed with an impaired immune defense, I was counted as one of those in a specific category at risk. And hence the London trip is off. Bummer of the summer. I was really looking forward to being there with Emma, being in London during the summer which is so beautiful, shopping, drinking the best mocha frappuccinos in the world, running in the parks, just getting away. But no, the swine flu just had to make a explode in a guest appearance this exact week. Not one single week later.  The Gotland trip with the girls was still wonderful, even though these news bit me pretty hard, I just had a lovely time with my favorite girls. How quickly I've fallen in love with Gotland. Pictures will be posted soon...

G'night.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. We are Gryffindor.
Today I've been working and since I got off early I went for a little shopping. Who ever said that money can't buy you happiness? That person obviously went to the wrong store. After this and that I had dinner with Alexander and his family. Lovely with some loudness and laughter. I feel like I've been in a quiet house for a week. Strange. Right now: Packing, cleaning and packing.

15th of July

Harry Potter was as expected one of the summer's greatest things. I met up with the girls in the city after work, when the sun was still boiling hot. You've gotta love summer nights. So we watched, and it was by far the best Harry Potter movie, so far. I've got to see it again, though. It's definitely more scary, and darker and a whole lot more sad than the previous ones. And a lot more captivating effects. Can't believe how early I started weeping. After the movie, we went home to Amanda's, where we baked scones, which I couldn't eat of course, had coffee and tea and looked in the latest swedish edition of Elle (which was the best one in ages) and after a few moments of watching Bride Wars, I fell asleep. Great day all day. Tomorrow I'll be going back to Gotland, earlier than planned, but better than planned. I've got restless legs, just want to get away for now.
Peace!

Notis:

This just in:

"Right now we are in the middle of a
Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino at
Starbucks and on our way towards
shopping on Carnaby Street.
Love you. xx."

- Johanna and Moa are in London. I'm not jealous. It'll be my turn soon!

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Working again. Only half day today, so there's no internal fight against the time right now. The reason for this is because this morning - after my run with Amanda - we went to the studio of TumbaTattoo where I booked my next tattoo. The word Imagine on the hollow of my right arm, in Jane Austen calligraphy, on the 17th of august, 9:00 a.m. Finally!

Today is also a day that is not to be forgotten. It's the day of the premiere of the 6th Harry Potter movie. Me and my friends are of the childish sort, that simply loves the magic, the mystic, the creatures and the good side vs the dark side. Two summers ago, when the last book was released, we stood in line for eight hours to get a copy of the book. We, and the girls next to us in line, were pretty much the only ones who weren't in costumes, but we partied that night like Martha and the Vandellas told us to, and it was the night I got to know Diana. This could be seen as something childish, and I am not to disagree - but I live by the statement that a little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

Home from Guteland

So very royally stupid. I'm awake, watching Sex and the City. Got back from Gotland last night, where I had a lovely lovely weekend. We celebrated Amandas 19th birthday on friday night, and yesterday Alexander got his acceptance from the teacher education office. Really a weekend of celebration. Going back in a week, so I don't have to miss it too much. Today me, Amanda, Caroline and Moa had a Harry Potter marathon. I can't explain how excited I am over tomorrow's premiere! Finally, the day we've been waiting for. Yes, I might still have the mental capacity of an eight year old in some areas. As long as it's joyful. Now I've got to try and get some sleep, since I'm about to get up in a few hours for a run with Amanda. YAY.

July

Pictures from Tyvö.

Hello my dear friends! I've been really busy these last couple of days. To summarize, I've been in the archipelago, which was one of the best things in a very long time, I've taken a drivers license course, been to my second cousin's baptism, had dinner with my grandma and Gerhard's brother from Austria, running a whole lot (I've got to get in shape for the half-marathon I'm gonna run next year, and believe you me there is a lot of work to do on that front) and finally working. Working feels really nice on these hopelessly rainy days. This morning I had breakfast with Moa,which is a great way of starting the day (yesterday I did the same with Amanda) and now I'm soon off to have lunch with my g-ma and g-pa. Tonight: workout with Moa and then movie with mom (Ice Age 3, we never get too old). PEACE!
